Handsome samplings of contemporary gadgetwerks, the venerable BARNEYS NEW YORK store will introduce its collaborative Nixon timepiece line for Holiday 2011 in the coming weeks. The sixth of such collection, the exclusive line is a showcase of the finest horology without the heap of cash it usually associate with. Based off two editions, the Automatic Chronograph and the Sentry, both will be available exclusively at BARNEYS CO-OP locations around the world.
Premiered in 2006 simply as the Nixon Automatic, the Swiss-Made innards went through a revamp to accommodate additional chronograph function for the BARNEYS Holiday 2011 model. Housed in a streamlined 44mm stainless steel case, the left-sided position of the crowns ensures comfort. Waterproof up to 200-meter with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal enclosure over the dial face, the BARNEYS Nixon Automatic Chronograph comes with two interchangeable bands, one with brushed stainless steel and the other in black crocodile leather.
Billed as “classically handsome” by staffers at Nixon, the BARNEYS Nixon Sentry carries a simple sophistication in its design. A 42mm stainless steel case quipped with easy to read numerals and day & date window, the BARNEYS Nixon Sentry will be available in black or white dial, both will have black crocodile leather band.
